The person in this position serves as a strategic and operational partner in human resources. He or she coordinates and develops all activities related to personnel management while supporting managers in their management responsibilities.
RECRUITMENT AND ONBOARDING
- Plan and coordinate recruitment and staffing activities.
- Draft and post job openings.
- Screen applications and conduct job interviews.
- Oversee the onboarding, integration, and follow-up of new employees.
LABOR RELATIONS AND MANAGERIAL SUPPORT
- Advise managers on the application of labor laws, the collective bargaining agreement, and internal policies.
- Monitor disciplinary, administrative, and labor relations matters.
- Participate in conflict resolution and in maintaining a healthy and respectful work environment.
TALENT DEVELOPMENT AND ENGAGEMENT
- Identify training needs and coordinate skills development activities.
- Contribute to organizational development, engagement, and employee retention initiatives.
HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION
- Ensure compliance and the administrative management of employee records.
- Assist in monitoring certain employee benefit programs and CNESST records.
- Manage employee housing.
STRATEGIC PROJECTS AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Contribute to the digital transformation of HR processes and the continuous improvement of management tools.
- Participate in executive committees and the organization’s strategic projects.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- College or university degree in human resources management, industrial relations, administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in human resources.
- Experience in a unionized environment (a significant asset).
- Experience in the hospitality, tourism, or service industries (an asset).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Excellent knowledge of human resources management practices.
- Good knowledge of labor laws and the interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and digital tools.
DESIRED QUALITIES
- Ability to support, advise, and influence managers.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Primarily daytime hours, with occasional availability as needed for operational purposes.
- Salary to be discussed based on experience and qualifications.
- Start date: as soon as possible.
