  3. Front Desk Coordinator

  • Supervise the reception team.
  • Apply and enforce policies and procedures relating to reception and, more generally, those of the company.
  • Assist front desk staff in managing guest arrivals and departures, and in carrying out the department's daily tasks.
  • Review reservations to ensure that information and requests are correct.
  • Communicate reservation needs and customer requests to the various departments within the facility.
  • Work in collaboration with other departments, especially Housekeeping, to monitor room preparation prior to guest arrival.
  • Respond to various customer requests.
  • Resolve reception problems and conflicts, and write reports if necessary.
  • Handle and follow up on customer complaints.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the Front Desk Manager in managing staff training (new employee training and ongoing training for receptionists).
  • Maintain a pleasant, standard-compliant and safe working environment, both for the physical location and for employees.
  • Any other related tasks that may be requested by management.

Working conditions

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • 5-day week with 2 consecutive days off
  • Working hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Work requiring screen time

Experience required

  • Hotel management diploma (an asset)
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in customer service, reception or reservations, experience in coordinating or supervising employees.

Skills and qualifications required

  • Good knowledge of the Office suite and IQware (software an asset)
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and an intermediate level of English, as we have an international clientele and you will be required to communicate in English 20% of the time.
