Operational management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the front desk and customer reservations.
- Develop and enforce check-in/check-out procedures.
- Ensure the quality of reception and communication with customers.
Team management
- Supervise, train and motivate a team of receptionists and reservation clerks working from home.
- Manage schedules, shift organization and staffing needs.
- Conduct performance appraisals and encourage professional development.
Customer relations
- Handle complaints and special situations diplomatically and effectively.
- Be present in the field and act as a reference for customers and staff.
- Analyze customer feedback (comments, surveys) and propose corrective actions.
Interdepartmental coordination
- Work closely with the catering, housekeeping, animation, sales and maintenance departments.
- Participate in management meetings to ensure consistency in the customer experience.
Administrative follow-up
- Management of bids and packages.
- Manage and correct supplier interfaces.
- Participate in the development of pricing policies in coordination with the marketing department.
- Mastery of the key system.
- Management of various cash registers.
Education
- Diploma in hotel management, tourism or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position in the hotel industry.
- Experience in team management mandatory.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of customer service.
- Natural leadership and ability to federate a team.
- Proficiency in IT tools and PMS software (ideally IQware or Opera).
- Bilingualism French/English required.
