Personnel Management:

  • Supervises and evaluates the performance of employees
  • Participates in the selection and recruitment process
  • Trains staff on work techniques and the proper use of products.
  • Ensures that policies and the collective agreement are applied and respected
  • Manages conflicts between employees in his/her department or involving other departments according to established procedures
  • See to the application of disciplinary measures

Operations management:

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates and evaluates all activities of the department
  • Inspects client rooms to ensure standards and provides feedback to employees
  • Assigns staff according to daily demand based on check-in/check-out information
  • Prepare staff schedules on a weekly basis
  • Notifies the maintenance department in the event of breakdowns or defects
  • Manages complaints related to the maintenance of rooms and common areas
  • Ensures the application of the policy on lost or forgotten items

  • High school diploma, vocational diploma or equivalent. Diploma in hotel management an asset.
  • Experience in the hotel industry, housekeeping department an asset
  • Experience in coordinating and supervising staff
  • Fluency in French (oral and written) and Spanish (oral, written an asset)
  • Proficiency in the Office suite (Word and Excel) and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Iqware software is an asset
  • Demonstrate leadership, be a good listener, work well in a team and care about a job well done
  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
