- Supervise, assist and distribute tasks to cooks and assistant cooks to ensure product quality and meal production flow.
- Ensure smooth running of service
- Develop and create daily menus
- Set up the work plan prior to service and provide the necessary items
- Maintain and improve product quality levels
- Set up dishes and determine portion sizes
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation and occupational health and safety policies, procedures and standards
- Participate in inventory taking to ensure nothing is missed or wasted
- Attend operational meetings when manager is absent
- Ensure customer satisfaction by communicating continuously with the catering department.
Experience and qualifications
- You must have kitchen training
- At least 3 years' experience in the kitchen and experience as a sous-chef or significant experience in managing kitchen staff
- Fluency in French and a beginner's level of English, as we have an international clientele and you will be required to communicate in English 20% of the time.
- Autonomy, dynamism and versatility
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
- A strong sense of initiative and stress tolerance
