On October 29, Auberge du Lac Taureau was awarded "Hotelier of the Year" by the Quebec Hotel Association during their annual conference. This recognition, coinciding with AHQ’s 75th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of our Auberge, honors our commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable development—values that have inspired us every day for 25 years.

Our approach to sustainability includes circular economy practices, such as refurbishing furniture and eliminating plastic bottles with water dispensers. Measures to conserve water, like installing defrost units and rainwater collection tanks and reducing the frequency of hot tub drainage, illustrate the tangible impact of these initiatives. With a 3 Green Key certification and a goal to reach 5, sustainability is at the heart of our actions.

Digital Transformation

Our digital transformation centers around optimizing the guest experience and operational efficiency. A centralized intranet enhances internal communication, and a QR code in welcome packets provides digital access to guest resources, reducing paper usage. We also utilize a CRM tool to automate marketing campaigns, personalize communications, and manage our online reputation, ensuring an outstanding client experience.

Innovative Human Resources Practices

At the Auberge, we value our 150 employees through initiatives focused on recognition and well-being. An internal rewards system, exclusive benefits, and a wellness committee organizing regular activities all contribute to employee engagement and satisfaction. Emphasizing internal promotions and providing accommodation and transportation for staff reflect our proactive approach to human resources.

Client Experience Optimization

With a new reservation engine, bathroom renovations, and innovative partnerships like Tesla, we continually enhance comfort and convenience for our guests. An array of activities, personalized touches, and outdoor amenities such as BBQ areas and Coolboxes strengthen the appeal of the Auberge. A dedicated guest experience coordinator and attentive listening to guest feedback underscore our commitment to continuous improvement.
