The cuisine of the Auberge is the instigator of new flavors and gourmet discoveries. This year, our new chef use her passion to create honest, fabulous and tasty dishes.
Inspired by the Lanaudière region and local flavors, Amélie Dumas have reinvented the menu with a selection of innovative cuisine. Always looking for the latest trends, she will impress you as well as in the morning and in the evening. It is through the seasons that she draws her inspiration from herbal gardens and edible flowers in the summer, and warmth and comfort in the winter.
The success of this fabulous chef would not exist without the entire team of the dining room and kitchens. Because of the team spirit, we receive waves of compliments from the design of the dishes, every plate is more colorful than the next.
Eating at the Auberge du Lac Taureau is a gourmet experience that involves more than just food. It is to satisfy its senses by discovering new flavors, seated before an impregnable view and know that the service will be excellent since satisfaction is the watchword. It is the contribution of everyone who makes unique the gourmet experience of the place.
Buffet formula rather than Table d'hôte
In order to respect the distancing and sanitary constraints caused by COVID-19, the buffet is the preferred option to allow all guests to eat while providing you with the best possible experience.
The buffet is adapted to the new reality, which is a buffet served by our cooks behind Plexiglas. No guests have access to the dishes. A nice advantage is that we rarely have the opportunity to share with the people behind the scenes. If you have any questions about the dishes served, the best people to answer them are in front of you.
We made this decision based on several of our hotel colleagues who opened before us following the coronavirus crisis. All of them were forced to reduce the number of seats in the dining room by 50%, so the hoteliers are limited on the number of people who can come to eat at the restaurant (and even more if we were in a table d'hôte formula). Knowing that we are rather isolated, 15km from the village of Saint-Michel-des-Saints, we would like to be able to offer service to as many customers as possible.
Our buffet consists of 3 choices of salads, 6 choices of hot dishes and a dessert table that changes daily.
We hope to be able to return to our usual formulas soon, that is to say to offer the buffet formula in addition to the table d'hôte. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Please note that access to the site is temporarily exclusive to hosting customers. All clients who do not have a room, condo or lodge at the Auberge du Lac Taureau will be refused access, whether arriving by car or boat. Thank you for your understanding!
